Banyule Youth Services Young Carers Project

Carers Victoria provides essential services for carers. These include the 1800 514 845 telephone advisory line, NDIS advisory service, telephone and skype counselling, emergency respite and other carer support services, such as purchasing goods and equipment.

Carer Gateway Counselling Service
Carer Gateway offer a free professional counselling service over the phone. Call 1800 422 737.

The Carer Gateway has an Emergency Care Plan document that can help ensure that the person you care for is looked after if you are unable to care.

The Young Carers Bursary Program supports young carers to continue with their education. The program offers a limited number of bursaries of up to $3,000 each year. Applications usually open every year in July but you can sign up to the mailing list at anytime to make sure you get contacted when it’s time to apply.

Little Dreamers Holiday Program
Little Dreamers host holiday programs every school holiday period. Sign up to take part.

Little Dreamers Mentoring Program
The Little Dreamers offer the chance to build lasting friendships and build lifelong skills. through their mentor program.

L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program
The L2P program targets learner drivers under 21 years of age who have their Learners Permit but do not have access to a supervising driver or a vehicle due to financial or family circumstances in order to achieve the required 120 hours of driving experience.
