Banyule Youth Services plan to offer a range of free activities for young carers very soon. We would love your feedback on what you’d like us to offer. Complete the survey now and leave your contact details so we can keep you in the loop. Entries received by June 30 go into the draw for a $30 Hoyts voucher.
Carers Victoria is maintaining essential services for carers. These include the 1800 514 845 telephone advisory line, NDIS advisory service, telephone and skype counselling, emergency respite and other carer support services, such as purchasing goods and equipment.
Carer Gateway offer a free professional counselling service over the phone. Call 1800 422 737.
The Carer Gateway has an Emergency Care Plan document that can help ensure that the person you care for is looked after if you are unable to care.
The Young Carers Bursary Program supports young carers to continue with their education. The program offers a limited number of bursaries of up to $3,000 each year. Applications don’t open again until July 2020 but you can sign up to the mailing list now to make sure you get contacted when it’s time to apply.
