A group of Somali Australian young women took part in a 3 week Photography Program in late 2018. The young women learnt the basics of camera function, portrait taking and editing.
The outcome from this project are the below incredible images, which will be displayed throughout Banyule in various exhibitions.
The theme of the pieces created by the young women were to show ‘the real me’ and challenge misconceptions of young people who wear a hijab.
