Duty Of Care: Our Commitment

We are committed to supporting all young people to feel welcome attending Banyule Youth Service activities.

Young people engaged in groups range from 12 - 25 years.

Staff ratios are implemented in all activities to keep everyone safe. Staff provide close supervision and promote appropriate conversations, experiences and connections between participants. Our policies are informed by Child Safe Practices & laws. All staff are mandated to have Working with Children Checks & Police Checks.

Jets/ BYS  works from a strengths based practice, recognising all young peoples potential, and their individual needs to achieve their goals.

All young people attending our service have the right to privacy and confidentiality and this must be treated with the utmost respect for both families/carers and young people. Council values communication and engagement with young people’s family/carers to strengthen young peoples successful engagement with our service. Please let staff know if you would like to discuss this further.
