Prizes on offer include:

  • An iPad
  • A 1-year subscription to Dumbo Feather
  • Plus cash prizes!

Winning entries will also be published in Dumbo Feather. So what's the delay? Tech, cash and fame await!

  • A written conversation in "question-and-answer" format

If you're looking for inspiration, you can check out last year’s winning interview with Lauryn aka Titanium Girl on the Dumbo Feather website.

If you want to get your whole class involved, there's also a free downloadable toolkit that you can pass on to your English or Media teacher, with lesson plans, digital worksheets and other resources to help you work on New Conversations in your classroom.

Outcome of the Summit: Q&A Forum

In 2014, Banyule Youth Services held a Youth Summit inviting young people to submit recommendations to help improve their community.

One recommendation was for a public forum addressing issues surrounding gender inequality and feminism.

The outcome was an overhwlemingly successful Q&A panel hosted by Banyule Youth Services, where panelists shared their

expertise on both topics and answered questions from young people on things that mattered to them relating to gender inequality.
