Parenting Teenagers Through Challenging Times - Session 2
NMIT's Youth Unit in conjunction with the Youth Connections program present a free seminar to explore effective ways to develop a strong and supportive
parent-teenager relationship, manage adolescent behaviour and guide teenagers in the right direction.
The seminar will look at the changing nature of your role as a parent, including:
- ages and stages - where they're at
- communication
- increasing independence
- boundary setting
- encouraging healthier choices
Helen Rimington will facilitate the seminar, drawing from her experiences at Parenting Australia, Centre for Adolescent Health and her teaching background within the Graduate Diploma of Adolescent Health and Welfare at the University of Melbourne.
