30/30 Project

30/30 PROJECT BY VINCENT FANTAUZZO
Acclaimed Australian artist Vincent Fantauzzo's unique 30/30 Project is on show now at La Trobe University Bundoora campus until September 12.

The artist painted 30 Australians, from different walks of life, in 30 days. The portrait subjects are high achievers in varying fields such as the arts, science, entertainment, politics, philanthropy and sport. Portraits include the Hon Bob Hawke, AC, film director Baz Lurhman, AFL legend Ron Barassi, actress Asher Keddie, Heritier Lumumba (Harry O’Brien), champion Australian Rules footballer, and David Walsh, founder of the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) Tasmania – to name but a few of the 30 extraordinary subjects.

The 48 Hour Film Project

When: Friday 5th September - Sunday 7th September

Where: ACMI, Melbourne - Federation Square, Melbourne. 

The 48 Hour Film Project Melbourne is coming soon, and registrations are now open.

If you're a beginner or storytelling enthusiast, you can test your creative skills by signing up as a team or individual to create a short film in just 48 hours.

The films will be shown at special screenings from September 23-26 at ACMI, Federation Square, with the best films screening at an Awards Night on October 3.

All films will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, with a range of prizes up for grabs.

ABC Heywire

ABC Heywire is calling for stories by Year 10, 11 and 12 students from regional Australia. Stories can be in text, video, audio or photo format. 30+ winners will get their story on the ABC and win a trip to the amazing Heywire Summit.
