The Cup Project - showcasing emerging young artists

The cup project is a youth, not-for-profit, initiative positively profiling young emerging Australian Artists on takeaway coffee cups. It seeks to connect lovers of art, coffee and cafes.   Young people's creative work and profile information will feature on 100, 000 takeaway cups that will be distributed via selected Melbourne CBD cafes in November 2010.  
Interested members of the public will be able to view the artist's works online, via the cup projects website from November, www.thecupproject.com.au.   The project's co-ordinator, Amy Craig hopes "the project will promote awareness and recognition of young artists, and their amazing work, within the Melbourne community." She is implementing this project as a winning entry in the 2010 Prime Minister's Australian Youth Forum Challenge.
