Are you interested in becoming a Firey? Opportunity for Aboriginal, TSI and CALD young people
The Firey Youth Mentoring Program is a partnership between MacKillop Family Services and The Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) and aims to assist young males and females from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds to build links with firefighters and, in so doing, provide them with an opportunity to explore a career in the fire service. What is mentoring? The Firey Youth Mentoring Program can assist you if you are:
- Aged 15-30 years of age
- Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander or from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Background*
- Residing within, or have links to the inner suburbs of the metropolitan fire district
- Willing to commit to spending 1-2 hours a week with your mentor for 12 months
