Getting Down to Business 2017

Are you a young person aged 16-25 and wanting to start your own business?
You may be eligible for the Getting Down to Business program!

This program has worked with young people who have started businesses in IT, new technologies, solar energy, fashion, construction, engineering, publishing, design, hospitality, food and many others!

Push Songs 2017 – Applications Now Open!

Push Songs’ innovative and inspiring song writing mentoring program continues into its 9th year throughout February, March and April 2017 and again it’s FREE!

Successful applicants will take part in FOUR, one on one song writing workshops, plus be invited to join the Tuesday Night Song Club and meet and share ideas and live performance opportunities with fellow song writers.

Working alongside Push Songs co-ordinator Charles Jenkins, will be a bevy of outstanding song writing mentors including Wil Wagner (Smith St Band), Angie Hart, Oh Pep!, Clare Reynolds, Will Cuming – Lanks (pictured) and Cash Savage.

Participants from all corners of the state of Victoria and of any age are encouraged to apply for the Brunswick-based program managed by The Push and APRA AMCOS and supported by Creative Victoriathe Australia Council and APRA AMCOS.

Established in 2009, Push Songs acknowledges the artistic, creative and long term career impact that passing on experience, skills, ideas, knowledge, encouragement, confidence and inspiration brings to the songwriter. Push Songs is a significant link in the music industry offering creative, practical advice, networking and performance opportunities to up and coming Victorian songwriters.

2016 Youth Summit

The 2016 Youth Summit brought together over 100 young people to discuss topics such as gender equality, the environment and cultural diversity. Please read the attached list of recommendations. A report card will be produced in late 2017 to show the results.

Art & You: youth working group

Are you between 16 and 27? Love making art? Care about mental health? Then Arts Access Victoria wants you to join Art & You, a new advocacy project to help young people with mental health issues engage in the arts.

Arts Access Victoria is seeking 15 young people with experience of mental health issues to help them co-design a new resource to empower young people to talk about why art-making is important in their lives. It could be a video, a digital zine, posters..they want to hear all of your ideas!

Calling young designers

Calling young designers (up to 25 y.o.) looking for a chance to make an impact with an organisational rebrand!

**Young designers with a disability strongly encouraged to apply**

The YDAS - Youth Disability Advocacy Service is a statewide advocacy service that offers free individual advocacy service to young people aged 12-25 who have a disability.

We are looking for a young designer to work with on this rebrand. This is a paid project and a project fee will be agreed upon with the chosen designer. Ideally, you will have experience or qualifications in (or you might be studying) graphic design/multimedia design/communication design or related fields. This project will suit someone who can commit to delivering a professional standard of work within an agreed time frame. If you’re interested, we’d love to see your work and we will choose someone based on their PDF portfolio.

Enjoy an afternoon of exciting activities and learning opportunities in this workshop which introduces the basics of robotics and programming in a series of engaging challenges.

Robotics are going to play a big role in the future. In this three hour workshop, you and the family can get hands-on with some amazing robotic creations!

Using Lego Mindstorms EV3 kits, families have the chance to learn how to control and program robots to compete and complete a series of exciting and interactive challenges.

This workshop provides opportunities for the whole family to engage with entertaining technology while encouraging working cooperatively as a team.

Sports Spectacular - School Holiday Program

Thursday 19th and Tuesday 24th of January

Looking for something to do with the kids these school holidays? Come and join in our Sports Spectaculars at La Trobe University Sports Centre in Bundoora. They are fun-filled sports days suitable for children aged between 7-14 years.


Children will get to experience a wide range of both aquatic and dry activities including kayaking, water polo, aquatic games, Tarzan rope, rock climbing, basketball and futsal.

What to bring

You need to bring your child's lunch, lots of snacks, drink, bathers, towel and suitable sports clothes - runners are a must!


You can register your child for $45 per day or $70 for two days.
If you are registering multiple children it is $35 per child, per day.

You are invited to visit your child during the day.

Bundoora Park School Holiday Program

Bundoora Park Farm Holiday Program runs every school holidays and is open to primary school children from grades prep to six. It is a drop off, pick up program supervised by our experienced program leaders. Program times run from 10am to 3pm. Bookings are essential and places fill up fast. The cost of the program is $41.00 per child per day. Children may bring their own lunch or place an order at the café. To book go to: (holiday program) or call 8470 8164. Bookings are now open. 


TUESDAY 10 JANUARY — RIDING HIGH Spend the day horsing around the farm and help our farmers to feed and groom the ponies. There will be a pony ride for kids up to 8 years old.

THURSDAY 12 JANUARY — SUMMER SUN CATCHERS Use your imagination today as we get crafty making some summery sun catchers. We’ll also spend some time with our barn animals in the afternoon.

FRIDAY 13 JANUARY — BUCKETS, BARROWS & TRACTORS Be a farmer for the day and help prepare the food for the animals and deliver it by wheelbarrow and tractor. Help to milk the goats in the afternoon! 

TUESDAY 17 JANUARY — FROZEN TREATS Keep cool today with some homemade icy treats. We’ll also spend some time looking at how we keep our animals nice and cool in the Summer.

THURSDAY 19 JANUARY — BUCKETS, BARROWS & TRACTORS Be a farmer for the day and help prepare the food for the animals and deliver it by wheelbarrow and tractor. Help to milk the goats in the afternoon!

FRIDAY 20 JANUARY — ANIMAL ADVENTURES Pat, feed and hold all the animals on the farm. This includes a wildlife ride to see the kangaroos and emus.
